Pollença is a town situated on the north coast of Mallorca. It is the perfect combination of sea and mountain, as it is located right in the Tramuntana Mountains and is also bathed by the Mediterranean Sea. This is one of the reasons why Pollença is one of the most visited tourist destinations on the island. It consists of three main urban centres: Pollença, Port of Pollença and Sant Vicenç. Despite being quite busy with tourism during the summer months, it is still a peaceful and welcoming place where you can enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

The fact that it combines mountainous environment with coastal spaces allows for a wide range of activities and places to visit. The bravest will opt for climbing the 365 steps of the Calvari, or even discovering the Puig de Maria, from which you can enjoy some marvellous views of the municipality and the bay of Pollença. Others will have been attracted by the town’s beaches, such as Formentor, Cala Sant Vicenç or Cala Figuera, among others; beaches which afford peace and tranquillity for anyone who is looking for a way to disconnect during their holiday. 

Even so, it is a must to stroll along the streets of the town centre and to visit to the Plaza Mayor, sit down and have a refreshing drink or a home-made ice-cream while the sun sets between the mountains. But if you visit the town around the 2nd of August, you will find Pollença in full festival spirit celebrating their patron saint, and you will be able to enjoy the mock battle between the Moors and Christians, a battle which took place in 1550 between the Saracens and the inhabitants of Pollença.
